Begonia goegoensis
Begonia goegoensis is a rare and eye-catching species known for its deep green, paddle-shaped leaves marked with a dramatic red central vein and subtle surface texture. Native to Sumatra, this begonia grows in a low, bushy form and is admired for its iridescent foliage that shimmers slightly under the right light. While not grown for its flowers, its foliage alone makes it a standout in any collection.
Best suited to warm, humid indoor spaces, it thrives with gentle lighting and consistent moisture. A great choice for terrariums or as a specimen in a sheltered plant shelf or cabinet.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Medium to bright, indirect light; avoid direct sun
• Water: Keep soil lightly moist but not wet; do not allow to fully dry out
• Humidity: High humidity preferred
• Considerations: Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes; use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix, such as our specifically designed blend for aroids and houseplants.
