Ananas Noire Tomato Plant in 4" pot

Ananas Noire

Indeterminate - Beefsteak

85 Days. Mid-Season. Ananas Noire, French for "Black Pineapple," is a spectacular Belgian heirloom introduced by horticulturist Pascal Moreau in 2005. Very large, oblate, ruffled beefsteak fruit presents a striking tri-coloured exterior of deep purple, olive-green, and yellow, with vivid green and pink flesh shot through with red streaks. The flavour is outstanding: intensely sweet, smoky, and richly aromatic with complex fruity depth that rewards the patient gardener.

Indeterminate plants are vigorous and highly productive, growing to 150–200 cm in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil. Stake well to support the generous weight of fruit and harvest when the base shows a red blush for peak flavour.

Flavour: Sweet, smoky, and intensely aromatic.
