145 days. Medium-sized sprouts with a rich purple-red colour that deepens in cold weather. Flavour is sweet and nutty, improving after frost. Tall, sturdy plants yield over a long period and are suitable for autumn and winter harvests. Excellent roasted, steamed, or sliced into salads for colour. To germinate, sow seeds 6 mm deep in seed trays or directly in the garden. Keep the soil consistently moist, and seedlings should emerge in 7–14 days. Transplant when seedlings have two true leaves, spacing them 45–60 cm apart for optimal growth.
