Cabbage Golden Acre
Cabbage 'Golden Acre' is a traditional heritage variety producing compact, round heads with crisp, pale green leaves and a mild, sweet flavour. One of the earliest maturing cabbages available, it has long been a favourite in home gardens for its reliability, consistency, and classic cabbage taste. Ideal for salads, slaws, steaming, and traditional cooking.
Hardy and straightforward to grow, 'Golden Acre' thrives in full sun and fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. It performs well through spring and autumn in New Zealand conditions, producing firm, solid heads with good eating quality at an early stage of the season.
