Cabbage Greyhound
Cabbage 'Greyhound' is a classic heritage variety producing compact, cone-shaped heads with tender pale green leaves and a mild, sweet flavour. Named for its distinctive pointed shape, it is prized for its early maturity and consistent, reliable harvests in the home garden. The tender leaves are excellent for fresh salads, slaws, and light cooking where a delicate cabbage flavour is preferred.
Hardy and easy to grow, 'Greyhound' thrives in full sun and fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. It performs well through spring and autumn in New Zealand conditions, maturing quickly and producing neat, compact heads that are easy to manage in smaller garden spaces.
