Candy Cane produces elongated pods 9–10 cm long that start green with pale cream stripes before ripening through a red haze to solid red — crisp, thin-walled, and deliciously sweet at every stage of ripeness. As ornamental in the garden as it is useful in the kitchen.

Compact plants reach 45–60 cm tall and are highly productive, performing well in pots, containers, or small garden spaces in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil.

Harvest: Pick at the striped stage for visual appeal or allow to ripen fully red for peak sweetness.
