75 days. Distinctive deep magenta-purple skin with broad, Chantenay-type shoulders. Slicing reveals a surprise of orange or yellow interior, sometimes both. Its very thin, smooth skin makes it easier to wash and serve unpeeled compared to other purple carrots. Roots hold well in the field, and the strong, vigorous tops help compete with weeds. Internal color may vary. Average length is 13-18 cm.
