Epipremnum pinnatum 'Albo'
Epipremnum pinnatum 'Albo' is a rare and highly sought-after variegated climbing aroid from the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. Its elongated, lance-shaped leaves are splashed and marbled with irregular patches of creamy white and green -- each leaf uniquely patterned and unlike any other. This is a distinct species from the common pothos (Epipremnum aureum) and should not be confused with it. As the plant matures and climbs, the leaves grow progressively larger and begin to develop fenestrations, transforming into something dramatically different from its juvenile form.
Bright indirect light is essential for maintaining strong variegation and encouraging healthy growth. A moss pole or upright support is strongly recommended -- without one the plant remains in its smaller juvenile form indefinitely.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Bright, indirect light; essential for maintaining variegation -- too little light will cause the white patches to diminish
- Water: Allow soil to dry out well between waterings; overwatering is the most common cause of decline in this species
- Humidity: Medium to high humidity preferred
- Considerations: Provide a moss pole or upright support to encourage climbing and larger, fenestrated mature foliage. Use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix, such as our specifically designed blend for aroids and houseplants. Variegation is unstable -- each plant and each leaf will differ.
Please note: Photos are representative of the plants available; each plant is naturally unique. Variegation level and pattern will vary between individual plants.
