Fish Pepper - Yellow
Heat: Medium (20,000 SHU)
80 Days. An African-American heirloom Capsicum annuum with a history dating to the 1800s, traditionally used in the oyster houses and seafood kitchens of the Chesapeake Bay region. Fish Pepper - Yellow shares the same striking variegated green and cream foliage as the standard Fish Pepper, but produces small, tapered pods that ripen to a vivid yellow rather than the traditional red β making it a standout in both the garden and the kitchen.
Compact, bushy, and highly productive, plants reach 45β60 cm and perform well in pots or garden beds in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil. An ornamental and culinary heirloom well worth growing.
Harvest: Pick when pods are fully yellow for peak flavour and heat.
Flavour: Bright, tangy, and moderately hot with a fresh, peppery finish.
