Hoya compacta 'Hindu Rope'
Hoya ‘Hindu Rope’ is a striking and unusual houseplant known for its thick, twisted, and curled foliage that grows along long, trailing vines. The waxy leaves form rope-like chains, giving this plant its iconic sculptural look. Over time, mature plants may reward you with clusters of star-shaped, fragrant pink blooms that emerge like jewels among the folds.
This slow-growing Hoya thrives in bright, indirect light and makes an excellent hanging or shelf plant. With its dramatic form and low-maintenance needs, it’s a favourite among collectors and beginners alike.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Bright, indirect light; can tolerate some gentle morning sun
• Water: Allow soil to mostly dry out between waterings; avoid overwatering
• Humidity: Moderate humidity preferred
• Considerations: Avoid overwatering and prefers to be slightly root-bound. Use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix, such as our specifically designed blend for aroids and houseplants.
