Pods reach around 10 cm long and emerge a rich, glossy purple before ripening to red, delivering all the classic jalapeño heat and flavour with the bonus of genuine colour in the garden from foliage to fruit.

Plants grow to around 70 cm and perform well in pots or garden beds in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil. Pick purple for striking colour in salsas and pickles, or allow to ripen red for a fuller flavour.
