45-55 days. Truchas is the most strikingly red, smaller-statured romaine out there. These breathtaking plants have intense crimson leaves with brilliantly contrasting green ribs and veins. Truchas is very refined with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and utterly bitter-free flavor. The cylindrical plants are upright, growing to 30 cm wide and 18 cm tall with razor-smooth leaves.
Germinate: Sow seeds 6 mm deep in well-drained soil. Keep soil moist; germination typically takes 7-14 days at 15-21°C.
