Malabar Spinach Red matures in 85 days. This vigorous, frost-tender tropical vine grows to 1.8 meters with spinach-like, dark green foliage on burgundy stems. The fleshy, glossy leaves have a pleasant, nutty Swiss Chard flavor. It can be grown on the ground or trellised for cleaner, easier harvesting. Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost; transplant outdoors after the threat of frost has passed.
