Heat: Mild (500 SHU)
95 Days. Also known as Peppadew, this South African Capsicum baccatum grows into a tall, bushy plant reaching up to 2 metres, producing an abundance of small, round, bright red pods throughout the season. The flavour is uniquely its own β sweet, tangy, and mildly spicy with a satisfying juicy crunch β and is most famously used in the commercial Peppadew pickled pepper products found in delis worldwide.
Perfect for home pickling, stuffing with cream cheese or feta, or tossing fresh into salads and antipasto platters. Grow in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil, and provide support for the tall, productive plants.
Harvest: Pick when pods are fully bright red for peak sweetness and flavour.
Flavour: Sweet, mildly spicy, and tangy with a juicy crunch.
