Moldavian Dragonhead Balm
Dracocephalum moldavicum
Moldavian Dragonhead Balm is a beautiful and fragrant annual herb from Eurasia with a long history of cultivation for tea and traditional herbal remedies. The soft, minty-lemon-scented leaves are soothing when brewed into tea, while the large, vibrant purple flowers are outstanding for attracting pollinators, particularly bees. A genuine dual-purpose plant that brings both colour and fragrance to the herb garden and the teapot.
Easy to grow in full sun and well-drained soil, it is an excellent choice for herb gardens, pollinator plantings, and tea blends. A beautiful and purposeful member of the mint family that performs reliably across a long season in New Zealand conditions.
