Peperomia prostrata (String of Turtles)
String of Turtles is a miniature trailing plant with round, turtle-shell-patterned leaves in shades of deep green and silver. Its delicate vines slowly cascade over time, making it a beautiful addition to shelves, small hanging planters, or terrariums. Compact and slow-growing, this Peperomia is a favourite for small-space gardeners and collectors of rare foliage.
Native to Brazilian rainforests, String of Turtles thrives in warm, bright conditions with just the right balance of moisture and airflow.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Bright, indirect light; tolerates lower light but grows best with steady brightness
• Water: Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out between waterings; avoid overwatering
• Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity
• Considerations: Sensitive to cold and excess moisture at the roots, use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix, such as our specifically designed blend for aroids and houseplants.
Please note: Photos are representative of the plants available; each plant is naturally unique.
