Pilea peperomioides
Pilea peperomioides, also known as the Chinese Money Plant or Pancake Plant, is a modern favourite with its round, coin-shaped leaves that perch on slender stems. Its playful, architectural look adds instant charm to shelves, desks, or tabletops. Compact and fast-growing, it also produces “pups” that can be separated and shared with friends, making it a symbol of generosity and good fortune.
This low-maintenance houseplant thrives in bright, indirect light and rewards consistent care with lush, upright growth.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Bright, indirect light; avoid strong direct sun
• Water: Allow soil to mostly dry out between waterings; avoid overwatering
• Humidity: Average household humidity is sufficient
• Considerations: Rotate regularly for even growth; pups can be separated and replanted. Use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix, such as our specifically designed blend for aroids and houseplants.
