Pumpkin - Butternut Waltham

Pumpkin 'Butternut Waltham' is a classic American heirloom developed in Waltham, Massachusetts, and widely regarded as one of the finest butternut varieties available. It produces uniform, tan-skinned fruit with dense, deep orange flesh prized for its rich, sweet, nutty flavour that is excellent for roasting, mashing, soups, and stews. Easy to peel and outstanding for long storage, the flavour continues to improve after curing, making it as valuable in the winter kitchen as it is in the summer garden.

Vigorous and sprawling, the productive vines thrive in full sun with fertile, free-draining soil and consistent moisture through the growing season. Mulching well helps retain moisture and suppress weeds around the base of the plant. An ideal variety for home gardens, food storage, and winter meals that rewards growers with generous, uniform harvests season after season.
