Rocoto Manzano - Red Capsicum pubescens

Hardiest of the chilli peppers, originally from Bolivia and Peru with apple shaped fruit and unique black seeds. An incredible plant, a Rocoto can live for 10 years or more reaching up to 5 metres in height and producing many hundreds of very hot 5-7cm fruit with a sweet and spicy flavour. Tolerant of cool climates but still needs protection from damaging winds and harsh frosts.
Flavour: Very juicy sweet with great flavours.
