90–100 Days. A legendary Capsicum chinense and cornerstone of Caribbean cuisine, the Scotch Bonnet is indispensable in authentic Jamaican jerk seasoning, hot sauces, and fiery salsas. The squat, bonnet-shaped pods ripen from green to a vibrant red, delivering a fruity, tropical, and slightly smoky heat that is fierce yet deeply flavourful — quite different in character from the habanero despite a similar SHU level.

Plants grow 60–90 cm tall and are highly productive in warm, sunny conditions with fertile, well-drained soil.

Harvest: Pick when pods are fully red for peak heat and flavour.
Flavour: Fruity, tropical, and slightly smoky with a searing heat.
