Silverbeet 'Silverado Compacta' is a compact and highly uniform variety producing very dark green, deeply savoyed, glossy leaves on neat, dwarf plants that are as attractive in the garden as they are productive in the kitchen. An improved variety with a narrower stem and more deeply crinkled leaves than standard silverbeet types, it delivers outstanding leaf quality at both baby leaf and full plant harvest stages. A versatile and reliable choice for home gardens, raised beds, and container growing alike.

Extremely cold tolerant and slow to bolt, 'Silverado Compacta' offers a long and generous harvest window across most of the year. Pick outer leaves regularly to encourage continued fresh growth, or harvest the whole plant once it reaches a good size. Suitable for steaming, stir-frying, and raw in salads when leaves are young and tender.
