Tomatillo, Purple Keepers Modern Landrace (10 seeds)

75 Days. Vigorous tomatillo with medium to large fruit that ripen to a deep, dusky purple, often with a slight green undertone when mature. Selected for long storage life, fruit keep well off the plant without losing flavour. Tangy-sweet taste develops fully when allowed to ripen in the husk, perfect for fresh salsas, roasting, or simmering into sauces. Productive plants thrive in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Support with stakes or cages to keep fruit clean and accessible. Sow indoors in early spring and transplant after frost. Sow 5 mm deep, 45–60 cm apart. Germinates in 7–14 days. Harvest when husks split and fruit colour deepens.

Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost; transplant outdoors after the threat of frost has passed. For best results, plant more than one for cross-pollination.
