Tomatillo Purple Violeta is a unique and visually striking variety producing deep purple fruit with light green to buff-coloured husks and striking purple veining throughout the leaves. The flavour is sweet-tart with a slightly milder edge than green tomatillos, making it exceptional for fresh salsas and sauces where its deep colour adds dramatic visual appeal. Once the husks are fully removed after harvest, the skin becomes more uniformly and intensely purple, making it as beautiful on the plate as it is in the garden.

An outstanding dual-purpose variety prized for both its culinary qualities and ornamental appeal as a garnish. As with all tomatillos, plant two or more for cross-pollination and the best fruit set. Compact and productive, it performs well in warm, sunny positions with consistent moisture through the season.
